Aluminum Sulfate, the one of most common inorganic coagulants, is used in purifying the utility water, industrial water, factory waste water & etc. as a Water Purification Agent by condensing and removing the soil, dust or those substances causing turbidity such as colloidal floating substances contained in the water, and also widely used as the catalysts for paper producing pigments, reagents, fire extinguishing & other applications. Particularly, Aluminum Sulfate is primarily used in condensing and removing the various types of sludge contained in the industrial waste water.

The issue of treating the exceptionally increasing waste water has secured its position as a field of study as well as business in line with the rapid industrial growth, and the waste waters disposed by the lots of factories having sprung up like mushroom after rain since the 1960s has caused the serious pollution contaminating the natural environment thereby reaching to the severe situation of even aggravating the water quality condition of human biosphere.
